Review for Exam III ATOC 1050, Fall Spring 2008 There will be a total of 50 questions (multiple choice and T/F. It is over PORTIONS of Chapters 11-22 and any videos we may have seen. It will ONLY cover those parts of the chapters we discussed in class! If I gave specific examples of blizzards, tornadoes, ice storms, etc., you are responsible for those details. Also, you are responsible for any general overview of each chapter IF DISCUSSED IN CLASS. This is generally the first couple of paragraphs in your text and includes things like deaths due to the phenomena and damages. Remember, you can come see me or email me, see our TAs Heather and Aimee, or drop in on any open 1070 lab session and talk to a TA (Stadium 136) if you need help. Know the following: Chapter 11: Supercooled water, sleet, freezing rain, snow (vertical profile of atmosphere, e.g. see page 194), weather patterns associated with freezing precipitation (pg. 195), any specific ice storms I covered in class (e.g. 1998 storm in NE) and those should be on the copies of
