F. Tornado life cycles: 1. dust-whirl stage – dust swirling on ground, but can’t see funnel touching the ground, but tornado is descending from the wall cloud 2. organizing stage – tornado is increasing in intensity 3. mature stage – reaches its greatest width; is almost vertical; does the most damage 4. shrinking stage – decrease in funnel’s width; tornado tilts; damage swath not as wide 5. decay stage – rope stage; contorts; dissipates G.
