Organizations are constantly striving to find a common ground between individual projects and the organization’s business objectives. Portfolio management starts with physically choosing a portfolio. A strategic project office help facilitate with issues along the way. Projects are a way of tracking an organizations tasks or activities that perhaps cannot be addressed within the limits of the organizations limits. Projects are how organization’s produce a strategic plan. Most of which are based on an organization’s legal requirements, technology, client requests, market demands, and organizational needs. There are several ways in which portfolio management concepts support an organization’s mission and goals. Portfolio management assists in helping ensure your organization does the most valuable work and is well managed throughout the organization.
