SDLC (Systems Development Life-Cycle) is an approach in Information System Database Management. Its structure is mainly used by the software development team within an organization or a company . The SDLC approach includes five clearly defined phases that are namely: -The Planning phase - The Analysis phase - The Design Phase - The Implementation Phase - The Maintenance Phase The Planning Phase which is the first phase is very critical as it focuses principally on the project planning work , and is very determinant in the success of a project. Most project planning are done in the managerial level where emphasis is put on ways to meet project goals and requirements . In this phase , assessment are made on the technical , operational , economic needs of the project and plans are made accordingly . Enterprise modeling can be associated with the planning phase . The enterprise model gives an overview of the data that is produced and consumed at all the levels within an organization .
