Had I read it six months ago, I would have a much better understanding of the psychology of college admission officers. As a collective analysis on excellent Ivy essays from recent years, the book not only focused on the worthy products, but also the artful process of making. In another word, it is the bible for any college applicants who want to earn an admission ticket with a well-written essay, and its insight on psychological and technical matter made me believe so. The book orderly divided the strenuous constructing of an application essay into three sections: preparation, strategy and the actual writing. In the first section, the book stressed a great deal on the profile of the audience – the admission office.
