2Topic 2 DQ 1Roadmap and MenuSustainable development goals are an assortment of development goals established bythe United Nations and adopted in 2015 to alleviate poverty, enhance peace and security, andcreate a conducive environment for economic growth (United Nations). A roadmap refers tothe instructions and plans in place to aid the achievement of particular goals and objectives, while a menu refers to a list of goals, objectives, or things that should be done. The roadmapanalogy makes more sense regarding the SDGs because the goals were established with theend perspective to create an enabling environment to enhance global sustainabledevelopment. The United Nations also established ways to achieve the goals. Notably, a roadmap provides ways to enhance achievement, while a menu lacks the ways to achieve thegoals.SDGs Connected to HealthTypically, the sustainable development goals are directly or indirectly linked to health.
