INTERNATIONAL ASSIGNMENTS2Determine four to six (4-6) components that the pre-departure training will need to cover. Provide a rational for the use of using the training components in question.As a HR manager, the author will have to make certain the expatriates recognize theiroverseas obligation and are comfortable with an overseas culture. For that reason, pre-departuretraining with the following six components is covered: preliminary visit, language instruction,cultural awareness, security briefings, and relocation assistance (Dowling, Festing, & Engle,2013, p. 177- 178). Preliminary visit - This will permit the prospective expatriates and their family a chance tovisit the innovative project area. At that moment they can get an impression for the overseasenvironment, consider their needs, and contemplate on the pronouncement of whether they candeal with the new projects or discard it for something that is further appropriate for them. Thepreliminary visit will save the business and expatriate money, time and admiration because thecompany is not transporting someone to a foreign assignment who do not want to be locatedthere (Dowling et al, 2013, p. 180).Language instruction – Knowing the language of the host country can provide theexpatriate an advantage in consultations and efficiency in training the HCN’s. Consuming thecapability to communicate the native language will make the expatriate further at ease with his orher environments because they can better communicate their necessities and requirements to theHCN’s. This will make the HCN’s relaxed as well and more enthusiastic to work with theexpatriate and share corporate information, cultural philosophy of business and facades on theirway of life (Dowling et al, 2013, p. 180 -182).Cultural awareness – In command for the expatriate to be effective at his or her task, theymust feel comfortable working and operating with the HCN’s. This training will benefit by

Theexpatriate will acquire the do’s and do not’s of the culture, just how to behave and how to blendin with the environments. They then can be further prosperous for the reason that they will nothave to be concern about being regarded as an individual who is just there to fill a position. Theexpatriate will consume self-confidence to network with individuals and learn the industry froman international perspective (Dowling et al, 2013, p. 178 – 180).Security briefing- this training has become extra significant as expatriate are propelled tosites where personal wellbeing is a concern. The expatriate will pick up what areas to sidestepand who to avoid. He or she will come to be familiar with guidelines and points of associates inevent of a nation or area widespread disaster (Dowling et al, 2013, p. 183).
