IntroductionSpatial organization explains “how different locations in the environment andon the receptors are represented in the brain” (Goldstein, 2014).
The concept of spatial organization“Spatial organization refers to the way stimuli at specific location in the environment arerepresented by activity at specific locations in the nervous system” (Goldstein, E. B. 2014). Forexample the picture above, when a person looks at an object the brain organizes the objectthrough the visual field. The process of the organization starts in the visual space and istransformed and organized again in the eye.
How spatial organizationaffectsvisual perceptionIn this picture some people will see a vase, others willsee two faces, some people might see both rightaway. Visual perception depends on the clues weallow ourselves to see.
