Population Genetics  When we study population genetics, we are looking at  the frequency of alleles in a given population   The frequency of these alleles can from  0  (0 %) to  1      (100% expression) NOTE:  When dealing with population genetics, there is           NO correlation between Dominance and              Frequency. They are NOT related.     A dominant allele does not necessarily mean it  would be the most frequently expressed within a   population.

    Genotypic Frequency: The percentage of a genotype within a population  Allelic Frequency: The percentage of an allele within a population              Hardy-Weinberg Law/Equilibrium: In the absence of any disruptive forces , and if the  population is large  enough, the frequency of alleles  will remain the same generation after generation. It means that an equilibrium has been established in  terms of frequency of expression of these alleles.
