Discuss various memory aids students can use. You can use as an emotional hook to get kids to understand something. That way during a test they can play it back in their head and it will help them out. In the video the teacher was asking a student about the parts of the heart & how they work. He asked her to look at the pictures, model, and even arrows to help her come up with the answer herself instead of just giving it to her. You must engage emotion with a variety of strategies. Like emotional hooks such as music. You must engage learners and open up many memory pathways. For example in one class they did the song if your happy and you know it, but they incorporate hand bone, feet bones, and even face bones. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
