Otto Tatsumi Professor Linda Bland-Stewart Ph.D SPHR 72 October 24th 2007 Advantages and Disadvantages of Linguistic Diversity America is a stereotypical example of cultural diversity and linguistic contrast. There is not a country with more color, more culture, more contrast, and more people than the US. The immigrants who came before them centuries ago granted all of these multiplicities. Linguistic diversity and diversity in general has formed America somewhat differently than any other country. Its variation helped it self-form a brand new identity different from any other branch. American culture is distinguished and unique: it does not belong in any sub-categorical descriptions. America, essentially, contain the best of multiple worlds. US business practices will greatly benefit from cultural diversity. It is naturally agreed that businessmen need a good command of useful languages. If he were working for a trading company dealing toys, he would require good Mandarin-Chinese skills to
