Test 2 Notes

The test will be held between 10:00 and 10:50 in the normal classroom
Seating will be in every other column
Tests will be handed out at 5 minutes to the hour and will remain face down until the
hour.
No makeup tests will be given!
Being late and getting some points is better than zero.
The standard course outcomes covered on Test 2 are shown underlined and in italics in
the list that follows
Standard Course Outcomes:
At the end of this course the student should have the knowledge and skills to:
1.
solve constant and variable acceleration problems in particle kinematics.
2.
draw free body diagrams and apply Newton’s second law of motion to solve kinetics problems
associated with particles;
3.
solve kinetics problems for particles involving static and kinetic friction.
4.
solve kinetics problems for particles using the principles of work and energy;
5.
solve kinetics problems for particles using the principle of impulse and momentum;
6.
solve kinetics problems involving collision of particles;
