PROSPECTIVE SCENARIO Prompt: You are at your gym just finishing your workout with a 45 minute run on the treadmill. The treadmill in your gym looks over a basketball court, which is the designated practice court for the local boys youth basketball team. You are watching the practice when suddenly you witness a pass gone wrong. You see a boy pass the ball to another, who is not prepared and the basketball ends up hitting the small boy in the chest. The small boy falls to the ground and is soon crowded by his teammates. You, having just finished your First Aid/CPR/AED course, carefully jump off the treadmill and head down to the court. *What do you do next?* Action: When you get down to the court, you say “I know what to do, is the boy’s parent or guardian present?” Prompt: The boy’s father is there watching the practice and steps forward. Action: You then ask for consent to help the boy. Prompt:
