(provide source used for this info) l Predicted VO 2 max: 61.4 – 0.39(age) l Relative VO 2 (walking) = (0.1 x speed) + (1.8 x speed x grade) + 3.5 l Relative VO 2 (running) = (0.2 x speed) + (0.9 x speed x grade) + 3.5 l Absolute VO 2 (L/min) = Relative VO 2 ÷ 1000 x weight(kg) l See table for values e According to the results, this individual is classified as having “fair” cardiorespiratory fitness [Heyward, 2006] 2. What is the subject’s estimated caloric expenditure (kcal/min) based on the results of this test? Show all work. l First, find corresponding kcal/LO 2 uptake using RER(RQ). Then convert VO 2 to liters by dividing by 1000. Finally multiply kcal/LO 2 by VO 2 to find kcal/min. l
