Considering the concept of customer involvement, discuss the evident advantages and disadvantages of significant customer involvement when an organization’s leaders are designing key process strategies and managing internal business and/or manufacturing processes.Customer involvement in different organizations varies significantly and can have distinct advantages anddisadvantages. One advantage to a high level of customer involvement is that a customer can gain an attachment to a company or product. This attachment to the company or product makes the customer more engaged in the product. One area where I notice this is in the apple personal computing space. Customers identify themselves with Apple as much as they enjoy using their products. Mac customers are typically also carryover to the iPhone, iPad, etc. This identification with Apple leads to higher sales and a higher perceived value.
