1John Kim WR 39C Rough Draft In-class essay: When the United States was attacked on September 11, 2001 thousands of innocent lives have been lost and it forced President Bush to take military actions against Afghanistan, Osama Bin Laden and his al-Qaeda members who were responsible for the attacks. However, instead of catching Osama Bin Laden, President Bush focused on bringing down Sadam Hussein and free Iraqi people from the ruthless dictator. The reason the United States had invaded Iraq was because President Bush believed that Iraq had produced weapons of mass destruction, and were capable of attacking United States in the future. President Bush also believed that Iraq had connections with al-Qaeda who were responsible for attacks of September 11. I believe the Administration has mishandled the situation in Iraq and the strategy is ill-conceived and reflects a persistent failure among top Administration officials to acknowledge that there is no military solution to the violence in Iraq. President Bush strategy of stabilizing Iraq and winning the war on terrorism is not working and as a result so many of our brave men and women have been killed
