Hume states that there are differences because “they take place at only two stages in Beowulf’s life, in two countries, and involve only two kinds of monster” (3). When readers read the poem they are moreover either are concentrating on the hero or the on action . . According to Hume “those concentrating on the hero tend to see two, those on action usually prefer three” (3). This is said because when viewing only the hero aspect of the poem , Beowulf receives the ut most honor and glory with his first kill and last kill due to for those being are the start and end to the people’s kingdom under Beowulf ’s protection . In the poem Beowulf , he was looked upon as a noble great hero but some readers didn’t focus on the heroism as significantly much as the action he took to defend the kingdom. In the minds of the readers who read with the eyes of action , they noticed and took away another stage besides the first and last kill, for because there was another encounter.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
