The Stasis Grid In order to complete this assignment, you will need to apply your critical reading skills to ten   articles   which make a persuasive argument  about your research topic.  You will analyze each  article to discover which type of arguments the author is making and then categorize those  arguments according to the stases on the  stasis grid . Though you may not fill out every box for  every article, you should try to fill each one by reading carefully about the issues addressed in the  argument.   To fill in the grid, do  all  of the following: 1. create questions  in each of the stases to guide your reading (place one question in each  box across the top row of the table) 2. read  through each of your articles, marking the author's major claim 3. categorize  these claims by the stases 4. restate  each claim in terms of the stasis in which you have categorized it 5. write  all the important citation information  (author, title, source, date, pages) in the first  box 6. write  the restated claim in the appropriate box on the grid
