Tom Bray Case Study Important facts: Tom Bray was working on his first major league project and decided to practice a new management style. This style was MBWA which is management by wandering around. On the first day he said “Hi” to the first few workers he saw and then he came across an employee named Jack and three other workers. Jack was busy working while the other three were standing around so Tom blurted, “Come on guys, we’ve got work to do.” After this they quickly got back to their duties. On the second visit he went to see how things were going and everyone was strangely quiet. He attempted to converse with people and received stiff responses as though they didn’t want to be talking to him at all. 1. What do you think is going on at the end of this case? a. At the end of this case, I think that the employees are a little bit surprised and taken back about why Tom came out of his office to talk to them.
