What is the position of women in Latin America compared to other parts of the world? A: They continued to live in a country where they had inequalities in the workplace and politics, even after World War I ended. Women had then retaliated with the formation of clubs and associations. This had helped women obtain the right to vote. Women would be receiving equal treatment. Women are more active in the work force and political elections thus, attitudes towards women changed because many feel they belong home. In the 1900’s women’s role became comparable to Western Europe and North America. 2.) How rapidly has the urban population of Latin America grown? A: It increases to one half of the population by the 1980’s. It is the most urbanized area of the developing world, a little less than Western Europe. Therefore, the urban population has grown three times that of the population as a whole. The sudden growth in urban population has left Latin America with fewer jobs horrible living conditions.
