1. Wrap up note: anthropologists study how kinship functions in society kinship control life stock and resources and the access to the spiritual world  (ancestors, religion system, etc) and have a strong influence in a society. kinship conceptualize reality as well.  2.  Neoliberal genetics (Susan McKinnon) Assumptions of (according to McKinnon) - social relations flow from genetic relations - females’ universal preferences for men with resources - males are promiscuous and jealous for genetic reasons note:  genetic researchers argue that human behavior can be tracked back to genetic.  We don’t know what a gene want yet are influenced by it unconsciously. Our  gene develop close attachment to the people who are biologically related to us.  we are trying to safeguard our genetic material and pass on. Also that we tend as  a species to only recognize close kinships and ignore far distance kinships.  People tend to increase the size of their genetic population. In every culture women tend to seek out for guys who can take care of them.
