Zi Shun Chen Response 3 The Sociological Imagination by C. Wright Mills We are living in an era of fact. And this is because of the industrialization. The transition  from agricultural society to the industrialized society was done in a short time. Individuals  of that transitioning period usually can’t understand the changes. Even though the  information is abundant, an individual must understand the cause of the changes and  aware of other individuals in his circumstances.  All social studies are around the problem of how the outer environment shapes an  individual’s inner philosophy. The three sorts of questions a sociologist asks are about  the structure of the society’s position, its components, its features as a whole and how  an individual’s position in the society and social norms affect his characteristics.  Troubles are on an individual level and usually only influential to a small group. Issues  are troubles that come to a certain level and become influential to the society as a  whole. Both troubles and issues have to do with Values, which is pretty much  determined by the social tendency. If some important values (to an individual) are
