Kivett 1 Wesley Kivett Leanne Smith English 1100 February 27, 2008 Opposing Students Battle for Table AYCOCK HALL- On Friday January 22, 2008, the war between Aycock Hall and Scott Hall, on College Hill at East Carolina University, began because a different each hall had a different picnic table. No one believed that picnic tables would be the cause of a problem . The “Smokers” of each hall use these tables as a gathering place when a cigarette is needed. “The table is nothing special but it is a place for us to sit and relax,” said Jared Sherman a resident Aycock Hall. “Having a place like this to sit and talk allows us to socialize with each other. It also is a place where you know where to find the people when we need to find them,” said Chip Thomas of Scott Hall. Each hall having their own table keeps the issue of showing favorites at bay. The East Carolina University has to be able to show that no one is better than any other person. The first semester went smooth with no problems and no hall having a better table over
