How to Create a Powerpoint Presentation for Your Research Open Powerpoint begin with blank or new presentation. Create a Title Slide first – be specific, include the topic of the research, city name, & date range in main box. Add Prepared by and/or Presented by plus the presentation date in the lower box.

Powerpoint Presentations Insert new slide - choose the one with the bar chart and title only. Double Click to add chart A data table will open that you will fill in with your attribute names and data values. Attributes will be listed in the columns across the top, delete any rows or columns you do not need. The example that appears will be for a three bar comparison chart – if you need only one bar just delete the “West” and “North” rows.

Powerpoint Presentations Once you have entered the data close the table box so you can work on the chart. Double click anywhere in the chart area and “handles” will appear around the chart. Right click to see your options. You need to choose Chart Options to adjust the layout of your chart.
