International Journal of Business & Economic Development, 2(3), 35-48 Retrieved from This article consists of a study of Saudi Arabian contractors and their use of Total QualityManagement principles and what effect it has on overall quality of work. The article starts by presenting an introduction to Total Quality Management (TQM) and its principles. It states the purpose of the study and the method of how it will be conducted. The article is very thorough in its statistical analysis of the impact of TQM principles on quality. According to Alotaibi, “The key findings were the confirmation of significant relationships between all total quality management practices and quality culture and a positive relationship between quality management practices and quality culture” (2014, p.35). It looks at the history behind TQM, which is needed to understand what TQM is, and how to identify a culture that is the best fit for it. Organizational culture is defined and examined. It then combines the two and how they work together. Finally, the authors tie TQM to company performance. This journal article is similar to what my research will include.
