Difference Between Omnipotent and Symbolic Management Omnipotent view – The dominant view of management theory and society in general, which believes managers are directly responsible for an organizations success or failure. Quality of an organizations managers determines the quality of the organization itself When profits are up managers take credit and reward themselves Good managers anticipate change, exploit opportunities and lead their organization towards its goals When profits are down managers take the shit end of the stick, and are often fired in order to bring new blood
