There are 7 purposes of organizing: Divides work to be done in specific jobs and departments Assigns tasks and responsibilities associated with individual jobs Coordinates diverse organizational tasks Clusters jobs into units Establishes relationships among individuals, groups and departments 5/13/09 Work Specialization Work specialization the process of dividing work activities in an organization into separate job tasks.
