John Coghlan MGMT301 Professor Johnson MGMT 301 Paper While coming up with a class presentation is perhaps not the hardest of tasks to be taken on by a team, this presentation was valuable to me because it gave me added insight into effective team management. Through both personal and group observations I was able to improve my ability to work with others and refine my perceptions of team mechanisms. What I have learned here I hope to apply to all future group projects. As students, we may attend the same class twice a week, but other than that our lives have different demands and schedules. Therefore, the part of our presentation I felt most conducive to success was our team organization. Immediately we established email addresses for future communication and broke down into three pairs, each to take on a company. This restructuring prevented wasted time which would have occurred through members repeating one another’s research. I also found it much easier to collaborate with a single partner on my company, Starbuck’s, than an entire group. Also helpful was the continual updating of all group members with progress, which reinforced
