Student ID 07/13/07 Gaming has provided an extra activity for those who would normally be or could be performing malicious activities on our streets. In the past, "gaming," specifically computer and video games have been unrealistic and uncomplicated. Nowadays, with the advent of more advanced computers and incredibly cheap graphics processing engines, young gamers are able to experience an unprecedented gaming experience. The example in our text—Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (GTA) is a product of newer and better technology. On an old 486, or even in the early days of the Pentium, a fully interactive 3D game with graphics like GTA is unheard of —you would be lucky to get Doom working at a nice frame rate (well, maybe not Doom, but certainly another graphically intense game). Our newer processors and gaming machines such as the Playstation 2 have enabled video game
