2 Conservation Charge is one of the few conserved quantities in the universe. We can never create or destroy charge We can only change its form. Our current understanding of physics precludes the creation of something from nothing. The total mass-energy and the total charge in the universe have always been here and always will be. Something or someone violated the laws of physics at the beginning of time. The total mass-energy and the total charge in the universe must be zero.
