These are situations relating toemergency or unplanned procedures where assessment in thesecircumstances would be unsafe or is impractical.Simulated assessment environments must simulate the real-lifeworking environment where these skills and knowledge would beperformed, with all the relevant equipment and resources of thatworking environment.Assessment must ensure use of:National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education andCarethe relevant approved learning framework under the NationalQuality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care.Evidence is recorded on the Assessment Task Sheet and stored inthe student profile as ‘satisfactory’ or ‘unsatisfactory’. No final unitoutcome results from completing this project.
In addition, during the school term students will be required tosubmit their Workplace Training Log Book for trainer / teacherreview / validation to ensure that performance and knowledgecomponents are being assessed. The knowledge components(written assessment) will be submitted at the end of the designatedsemester - duration of written assessment is semester based.
