Taurin Wheeler 4/14/08 SPM 1014 Prof. Belfiore Shea Stadium This was my third time going to a baseball game at Shea Stadium. I’ve been a Mets fan all my life, but I must say Shea Stadium is one of the worst stadiums in the major leagues. Luckily, this is the last year Shea will be open because next year the Mets will play at the brand new Citi Field. Basically Shea doesn’t have a whole lot going for it, other than its big and round and there’s plenty of parking. Also it was hard to find our seats then to go along with that the seats at the game were pretty uncomfortable and the constant airplanes flying over the stadium were just annoying. One thing I really didn’t like was the restrooms, they were awful, and I don’t think fans would find it pleasant. Overall the design of Shea Stadium is just boring, it’s an ugly place. The stadium is outdated compared to newer facilities in the majors. The positive about the stadium is the easy access to the game by train. I must say it wasn’t hard to find at all. Also the tickets
