Case Study Analysis Carl Robins, a newly hired Campus Recruiter for ABC, Inc., successfully hired 15 new employees within his first six months on the job. These newly hired employees will be working for Monica Carrolls, the Operations Supervisor. The new employees require an orientation on company policy, manuals to learn such policies, get a physical, and drug screening. Carl is behind on preparation for the orientation and has not completed the required processing for the new employees. He has scheduled orientation to start June 15th. Some of the new hires do not have completed applications or their transcripts on file, and none of the hires had the required drug screening. The orientation manuals were also missing pages and Carl could only locate a total of three. Carl discovered the training room that was to be used for the orientation has been booked for the entire month of June, by Joe an IT technician for a software training. In my report, these are my findings that are a lack of leadership, communication, organization, and experience. Leadership, communication, organization, and experience, these skills are a must in most aspects of life, also is requirements in any career field. When we miss these areas, many problems can arise. Issues that emerge due to the absence of information, organization and coordination, can easily be avoided.

Background Carl had sufficient time to complete all tasks required to prepare for the orientation, but exhibited poor leadership, organization, communication skills, planning, and follow-through of his duties. This shows that he is either not qualified or not trained properly to do his job effectively. The goal was to have the new hires trained in time to start work in June. Carl is new at the job himself, and this is his first recruitment effort. However, there is no excuse for not being prepared for the task at hand, especially knowing the importance for the company and making a good impression on Ms. Carrolls. Key Problems Carl’s performance, leading to his failure, which began when he did not think ahead in his process for the new hires, the requirements of himself and for the company. Before Carl started recruiting these individuals he did not have a plan in place for after he met his goal of recruiting 15 new people for the company. There are several major problems in this hiring process.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
