Several prior convicts now find employment collecting used fryer oil for recycling and use in “veggie-diesel” cars. Its dirty work, but someone’s got to do it, and hey, the pay’s not terrible either. Why supports sustainable development: This supports clearly sustainable development because it’s using several types of resources. It’s using people that may have trouble getting work elsewhere. It’s also using what used to just be garbage. The oil will be cleaned and it will help power cars. I would say that this is a great sustainable development example.
