ASSIGNMENT#4-Is it ethical to lie or deceive during negotiations. Is it ethical to lie or deceive during negotiations? In my opinion, it would be unethical to lie or deceive during negotiations. The core point of negotiations is trustworthiness. All negotiations are based on trust and security, that is one of the most important factor of negotiations. However, it is very important for a negotiator to be cunning and strong. He cannot be timid and naïve. He has to be very level headed so that he cannot be taken for granted by others. The number of negotiators lying during negotiations have become so high because in today’s time, when everything is so competitive and with so much jealousy around, all negotiators want to get their way out and be successful, and to attain that success they don’t even mind employing unethical methods and techniques. It is very essential for people to recheck and double check and tally all their information. One cannot get into negotiations without being paranoid. One usually lies or deceives in negotiations when all
