What about the minuses? If I was an employee in a matrix structure, the pluses I would think would be: a- ) I will be able to co-ordinate better with my co-employees, and will be able to get things done faster, which is specially required in a company with multiplicity of complex and interdependent activities. b) The matrix structure will provide me with better communication and flexibility to carry out my assigned tasks, in relation with other departments. c) The matrix structure also reduces bureaupathologies -the dual lines of authority reduce the tendencies of departmental members to become so busy protecting their little worlds that the organization's overall goals become secondary. d)The matrix structure facilitates the efficient allocation of spets.
