This week the thing that interested me most about the information was the weather that the Neanderthals lived in, how is changed so drastically and they survived. The idea that the earth goes through these cycles astounds me, it makes me think of The Day After Tomorrow, that movie that talked about global warming and how it is affecting our climate. Thinking about our world today being covered in ice, like in the movie is very interesting to me. The fact that we humans are causing it to move faster then it would if we were not causing so much damage is also very intriguing. Back when Neanderthals walks the earth, they were at the mercy of the world, today it seems, we are trying to control it and manipulate it. Most creatures work with the planet to survive, being at its mercy, but now they also have humans to deal with. Neanderthals didn’t alter their world as we did. They did make tools and they seemed to have some sort of culture, but of course nothing compared to our wide varieties of cultures today.

I have slightly trailed off my main point, which is of the weather, but our culture includes this, the way we feel we have to take care of everything. I don’t know if that’s exclusively an American thing, but I do know that humans as a whole are manipulating our world, to our benefit making it a place for us to be able to live in, but at the same time, we are destroying it. I think it is only a matter of time before the earth retaliates and creates an Ice Age for us to deal with...
