SCRUTINIZATION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE ADMINISTRATORS 2 Scrutinization of Criminal Justice Administrators Criminal justice administrators are constantly under fire being scrutinized by the media and the public. I believe that there are various qualities that a criminal justice administrator has to portray for him or her to be able to survive in such environment. The relationship conveyed between the law enforcement authorities and the American public, especially the violent nature, is an issue that has to be re-examined. The criminal justice administrators have to gather and discuss on the qualities that can enable them survive in such environment. To begin with, a criminal justice administrator must have the virtue of power with which a community vests in him (Pound, 1997) . He or she also has to have an overarching responsibility for the result of encounters with residents. This is because; the pubic expects them
