NEGOTIATION 2 Negotiation The objective of engaging in a live negotiation with a car dealer was to purchase a preferred car model at the best price possible. This preparation was made by conducting research on the prices of various second-hand muscle cars before visiting the car dealership. The first step after arriving at the car dealership was to show interest in the available cars. The dealer made an observation, identified that there was a potential customer willing to buy, and made an approach by explaining the features of the available vehicles. At this step, the preferred car had not yet been identified; therefore, the dealer was forced to make a persuasive statement by providing the reasons why his cars were among the best in the market. The purpose of visiting the dealer was to negotiate for a used car considering that it was quite expensive to get a new car. After realizing my interest in the muscle cars, the dealer took me through the available muscle cars, while explaining their conditions and features. There were
