established to produce coils for electromagnetic relays that were assembled by Fujitsu (Singapore)
Pte. Ltd. (FSL).
On July 1986, the assembly process was transferred from FSL to FCM, where various kinds
of electromagnetic relays are manufactured for a wide range of applications such as electrical
equipment and computers. In 1987, FCM started producing keyboards and the transfers of
molding, stamping and plating process is done to FCM in order to support the assembly process.
Since establishment, FCM’s production scale has progressed rapidly making FCM a major
overseas electronics component production base for Fujitsu Component Limited, Japan. FCM has
been manufacturing and supplying excellent electromechanical components: Relays, Keyboards,
Mouse, Pointing Devices and their parts thereof. They are exported throughout the world and are
greatly valued for their high reliability and good quality.

BASIC MANAGEMENT OF FUJITSU
Upon the number of organization size for about 1’616 employees, it indicates that Fujitsu
Component (M) SDN. BHD is a large organization as the labor capacity exceed 500 people. With the
status of a large company, FCM has engaged in several new and innovative practices and the
management are divided into several departments. As referred to the organizational chart
constructed by FCM, the management board is divided into Board of Directors, Department
Managers, Section Manager and Assistant Manager. (Refer Appendix)
Board of Directors are comprised of four Japanese directors, and three local General
Managers. Managing Director with the assistances of other three Directors, are responsible for
directing the activities of a specific department, managing other employees and ensures all business
goals and objectives are reached. General Managers are positioned in the main operations of the
company, which are on the Production Department with the responsibility for managing the
corresponding units. It is then followed by the Administration Department, Section Manager which
