2-2 Journal: Creation and the Afterlife
I would like to compare the Greek creation story as well as the creation story presented in the
Bible. The function of the Greek story is to explain elements of the human condition. The
function of the Bible story is to make a foundation for the “God narrative” and explain why
humans are the way that they are. We were made in God’s image and “fell” into sin.
I feel as though it’s human nature for us to want fairness. We believe that when someone does
something wrong, there will be a punishment. It’s the same for these stories. For all creation
