2 Conflict and/or disagreement will occur in every company or organization. Most times, it is our perceptions of a situation or how we perceive another person that cause us to act in a certain manner. Conflict arises when we sense that this perception affects each one of us personally. Within an organization, this conflict can arise from the perception that someone isn’t doing their job or is doing something that is counter-productive. Managers need to strive for communication and understanding to resolve conflict and possibly change the way the employee(s) perceive the other person or the situation. Now, in normal circumstances, discussion is normally the answer, “However, increased communication can also bring complexity and confusion, and may make things worse” (Arvinen-Muondo & Kogan, 2013). In some circumstances, the perceptions of the manager can further exacerbate the issue, especially if one of the employees now feels ganged up on. Managers need to show impartiality and should seek
