G.C. 1-3 Lab ReportName: Kimberly AdamsZ Number: Z23505074SUMMARY OF THE VIDEO:-When two solutions containing ionic compounds (nonmental/metal) are mixedtogether, one of two things can happen: the first thing that could happen is thatno reaction may occur because if all of the combinations of positive cations andnegative anions are soluble in water, a mixture of all the ions is obtained andnothing is observed. The second thing that could occur would be precipitation, ifone or more combinations of cations and anions is insoluble, then a solid willform. This solid is called a precipitate. When completing a reaction, first, switchcations and anions over to form the products (remember to use correct ratio).Second, determine whether compounds formed are soluble or insoluble. If bothcompounds are soluble then no reaction occurs and if at least one compound isinsoluble than a precipitation reaction will occur.G. C. 1 - 3: DISCUSSION QUESTIONSBased on the solubility guidelines predict the outcome of the following reactions. If youthink a precipitation reaction will occur, write balanced reaction equation and write andcomplete ionic equation (CIE) and net ionic equation (NIE).
