Rats placed in enriched environment developed larger cerebral cortex tan rats placed in impoverished environments. “critical stages” and “sensitive periods” Critical stage: an optimal period when an organism’s exposure to certain stimuli produces proper development Vision and amblyopia Language and phonology Attachment Imprinting the process by which certain animals. Attachment: an emotiona tie with another person, especially yong children with caregivers: secure base, safe haven, stranger anxiety, tempermant.
