Study Guide for the Final Exam of Introduction to Psychology **NOTE: I have listed topics from class and the text. These are topics that include other concepts--If I list a topic here, you are responsible for all material listed under that topic in the text (and in class).** The study guide lists all material you will be responsible for on the exam, with the exception that if I list a very general topic here, you are responsible for all terminology and material listed under that topic in the text (and in class). The topics listed here comes from class and/or the text. It does NOT have to appear in both places to be included on the exam. If you see a topic you do not recognize, you should ask another student for their notes, and check the textbook (see the index at the back of the book). For this exam, I will test you on the bigger, more important concepts from the semester and on those that apply to multiple sections of the course. Those concepts are listed below. My advice for studying is to focus your attention on class notes and reading for the particular concepts, rather than simply re-reading all of the chapters in their entirety. The exam will be held in our regular classroom ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15 AT NOON. The format is multiple choice (each question will have 4 possible choices), and there will be between 35 questions. The exam is worth a total of 100 points and will replace a lower score-- it cannot lower your grade. No make-up exams will be given. Please see the syllabus for additional guidelines about makeups. Here is the point breakdown for grades. Remember, these are strict cutoffs and no changes will be made for any reason.
