Issue 207: Rituals and ceremonies help define a culture. Without them, societies or groups of people have a diminished sense of who they are. SYLLABUS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In my opinion, although rituals and ceremonies are significant parts of contemporary culture, other factors also contribute to the accumulation of culture. Rituals and ceremonies are able to help us identify our own culture from large amount of cultures of world. The certain rituals and ceremonies tell people what the essence of the culture, what is the most cherished for them. Coming of Age ceremony. the religion plays an important part in the context of culture as also at every stage of the individual's life.
