The intent ofthis agreement was to see each state as equals, although this model was never passed.3.Comte de Vergennes, Charles Gravier, was the Foreign Minister to Louis XVI during theAmerican Revolution. Charles Gravier developed a relationship with Benjamin Franklinwhen he was stationed in France as the U.S Minister to the Court. Which led to millionsin foreign aid for the U.S.
4.White Eyes was the Chief Sachem of the Lenni Lenape of the Ohio County since the 1600s.White Eyes wanted recognition of his lands by the Americans and actively sought out peacefrom both sides. He wanted to transform his nation using the economy and technology fromthe Americans. Despite this, he was mistakenly murdered the by American militiamen afterwhich they tried to cover it up, after truth got out of his true cause of death any chance ofpeace with the Ohio Valley Native Americans became virtually impossible.5.In January 1787, a ‘rebellion’ led by veteran named Daniel Shay in which he and his menblockaded courthouses to prevent foreclosures from being issued out due to debt andeconomic issues was put out by the state of Massachusetts. This event served as a seriousreminder to the leaders of America that the Articles of Confederacy was too weak of a centralgovernment to rightfully serve its people.6.General Charles Lee served as general of the Continental Army, during the British assault onCharleston he managed to subdue them although he was later captured that year. He also ledthe Cherokee Campaign of 1776 as a reaction to Cherokee attacks in the South. During theBattle of Monmouth, he led an assault on the British that failed leading to this court-martialwhich led to his retirement.
