Although he is best known for his dramatic andexpressive artwork, Leonardo also conducted dozens of carefully thought out experiments andcreated futuristic inventions that were groundbreaking for the time.” DaVinci in fact did inventgroundbreaking inventions that are used now. Some of DaVinci’s inventions include theparachute, a kite, underwater diving suit, catapult, gun machine, etc. His artwork wasoutstanding due and he is best known for his work of Mona Lisa and the Last Supper. Due toDaVinci’s contribution to the renaissance, we have so much knowledge on different things andhis discoveries have influenced other inventors and future inventors as well.2.He was born out of wedlock to a wealthy lawyer and although DaVinci was raised by hisfather, he could not take his father’s last name because he was referred to as a “bastard child”.Although this term is offensive, back in the day this was the term they used to describe a childthat was born to parents who are not married to each other. DaVinci was typically referred to as“Leonardo da Vinci” which means Leonardo, of Vinci. DaVinci learned as time went on that hewould not inherit his father’s estate so he had to learn a skill and figure out how to take care ofhimself.
