Reach scene is an example of what goes on in real life; milkman delivers milk, paperboy delivers paper, neighbors become friends, busy morning and young people fall in love. People of Grover’s Corners and simple and everyone try to live their life to the fullest.Every landmarks in Grover’s Corner are significant and tell wonderful stories. There significant landmarks that made Grover's Corners so precious are Morgan’s drugstore, the Congregational Church, and the Cemetery. In Morgan’s store, George confesses his love for Emily. After George becomes a local baseball star, Emily notices the change that has come over George and accuses him of being conceited and stuck­up. A lthough hurt, George takes her words to heart. Emily, suddenly mortified at her own bluntness, apologizes to George and begins to cry.George tells Emily not to be concerned and invites her to have an ice­cream soda and confesses his love and fondness for Emily. Congregational Church is the place where Emily and George got married. Even Though in the beginning both of them were nervous, they soon realize that they really love each other. George promises to try his best and make Emily happy and stay with Emily in the Grover’s Corners and begin a new chapter in life. In my opinion, the cemetery is the most significant place because it is after death that Emily realizes how quickly the life goes by without looking at each other and realizing how important and precious each moments are. We also found out that the dead become indifferent toward living people. And it is true that we realize the importance of something when it’s too late. ...
