History traces change over time History is an ongoing argument about the past based on sound and verifiable evidence and concepts History is respectful dialogue between those serious about the study of the past and willing to follow rules of evidence. History is distinct from memory and nostalgia, but it can trace the impact of memory and nostalgia on society and culture What is History? History is not one random thing after another History is not opinion unsubstained by verifiable facts History in not propaganda, but memory and nostalgia can and have been used as propaganda The questions asked of the past reflect the culture and times in which they are asked History reflects the discovery of new evidence or new methods of analyzing that evidence If you understand history and what it is and is not, you will do well on the final Can offer you different answers as the times change.
